This magic mountain town is located in the southern Andes, within the Los Glaciares National Park (Santa Cruz Province), in a valley where the rivers De las Vueltas and Fitz Roy meet, as a result, Chlten is enclosed between rivers and mountains. To start the Patagonia Trekking and Adventure itinerary, take your flight to El Calafate Airport where the local driver will be waiting for you to take you to El Chalten. While in the way you will enjoy the Patagonian Steppe landscape with its lakes, rivers and native fauna like the guanacos. A few kilometers before reaching the town you will begin to see the impressive mountain peaks that enclose this charming place. Once you arrive you can enjoy the rest of the day walking around the downtown.
Arrive to the base of Mount Fitz Roy, walking into the lengas and ñires forest, crossing streams and rivers, watching hanging glaciers immersed in a surprising landscape. First of all, you will go by car accompanied by the local guide to the starting point of the trail at El Pilar Hotel, and from this point you will start an 8-hour hike into the forest, during which you will watch the Piedras Blancas Hanging Glacier, a great variety of typical flora and fauna, and you will cross streams and rivers, always accompanied by the impressive view of Monte Fitz Roy wich will be getting closer and closer until we reach the its base in Laguna de Los Tres.
The last hour of the hike is very intense and with a steep slope, so you will be able to decide with your guide which part of the path to cross. Finally, you will descend from Laguna de los Tres and return to El Chalten by foot along the Laguna Capri Trail.
The third day of the Patagonia Trekking and Adventure itinerary you will walk the Cerro Torre trail. It runs along beech forest, bogs and shrubland and leads to Laguna Torre, enclosed by moraines and with Glacier Grande calving in its west side. The path starts from the village from where you will begin your walk accompanied by the local Guide of the Los Glaciares National Park. This is a quiet walk of approximately 9 hours round-trip, with a slight slope in the first minutes, you will walk following the course of River Fitz Roy. The tour will allow you to appreciate the landscape of the Fitz Roy River Canyon, and contemplate various waterfalls. Little by little you will start to have beautiful views, closer and closer of the Mount Torre. During the tour you can see majestic panoramic views. Stops will be made according to the climatic conditions and your interests.
This unforgettable adventure of this Patagonia Trekking and Adventure itinerary is a full day excursion which combines a walk through the impressive native forest of the Diablo River Valley in Estancia Los Huemules, a step of action and excitement to overcome the rock through a via ferrata, and an unforgettable trekking on the Cagliero Glacier.
The local guide will take you from your hotel to go to Estancia Los Huemules, a private nature reserve road to the Lago del Desierto, 37 kilometres from the town. Once in the Lagoon, guides will deliver the necessary equipment for the Ferrata route. Then, continue along the path bordering the lagoon through a stony terrain, more irregular, until you reach the Via Ferrata. The journey through the Ferrata route is an excursion in itself, since as you progress in the rock and gain height, the mountain landscape becomes more and more imposing. At the end of the trek, you will reach the viewpoint of the Cagliero Sur Glacier that descends between the Neumayer, Cagliero and Loma del Diablo hills.
In a few minutes you will arrive at the front of the glacier, and it is time to put on the crampons to start the trekking on it.

The second destination of our Patagonia Trekking and Adventure itinerary is located on the shore of Lake Argentino, in the middle of the Patagonian Steppe. El Calafate is one of the most important tourist centers in Argentina, because this picturesque tourist village is the gateway to the Southern Section of Los Glaciares National Park and its most famous attraction, the Perito Moreno Glacier. In addition to the Continental Ice and its various glaciers, you can enjoy other activities such as trekking, 4×4, horseback riding, kayaking, rating, fishing, sailing among others. Also, from the city you can visit a wide variety of Patagonian Estancias, where it is possible to stay or spend a country day and appreciate the typical rural activities of the area, taste a roast of lamb and enjoy the peace and vastness of Patagonia.
Take the transfer from El Chalten to El Calafate while you enjoy the spectacular Patagonian landscape. Once in the city you can enjoy it by your own and visit one of the typical restaurants to taste local food.
In the afternoon we will pick you up to visit Cerro Frias Ranch located just 23 km from El Calafate, on the way to the Perito Moreno Glacier, within the limits of the Estancia Alice, in an incredible natural environment at the foot of the Andes Mountains. Once in the Estancia, you can choose between different activities like horse ride, 4×4 or zip line, to spend an active day in a wonderful natural environment immerse in the Patagonian Steppe. During the tour, it is possible to see wild animals such as guanacos, foxes, condors and hares, among others.
Patagonia Trekking and Adventure itinerary take you to visit one of the World’s Natural Wonder, the Perito Moreno Glacier which flows down from the Southern Patagonian Icefield, a big sheet of ice, is the third largest glacier area over the world. The road leads to the very front of the glacier, which will be only meters away from your eyes and you also will take a catamaran to navigate in front of its 70 meters high ice walls.
The excursion begins in Puerto Bajo las Sombras, located approximately 6 km from the Perito Moreno Glacier footbridges. There we will embark to cross the Rich Arm of Lake Argentino, reaching the southwest coast after approximately 20 minutes of navigation in front of the southern wall of the Moreno Glacier. After disembarking we will start a trekking along the southern morena of the Perito Moreno Glacier and, in just over an hour, we will arrive at a spectacular viewpoint where we will access the ice. Once on the glacier and with the crampons, the world takes a new perspective: blue lagoons, deep cracks, huge sinks, magical caves and the unique sensation of feeling in the center of the glacier.
In the middle of the walk we will make a break of half an hour to have lunch on the white mantle, immersed in a place of incomparable beauty. After the crossing on the ice, we will walk an hour to take the boat back to the Puerto Bajo las Sombras, where the guide and driver will be waiting for you to take you to the footbridges in front of the glacier and then return to the city of El Calafate, after having enjoyed one of the most spectacular ice treks in this Patagonia Trekking & Adventure itinerary.

Patagonia Trekking andAdventure itinerary will take you to sail for approximately two hours until we get close to Spegazzini Glacier where the boat will make a stop to contemplate the majesty of the landscape. Then you will go to the post of Las Vacas, a very quiet bay in the Canal Spegazzini, where you disembark to make an interesting walk of about an hour coordinated by the guides. Then continue the navigation towards the Upsala Channel where we will begin to see the first icebergs. You will have lunch on board immersed in this stunning landscape. Finally, you will sail through the Canal de los Témpanos towards the north wall of the Perito Moreno Glacier. After the visit to Perito Moreno Glacier, you will undertake the return to the port arriving at 06:00 p.m.
To continue our Patagonia Trekking and Adventure itinerary let’s enjoy a unique adventure excursion that combines in one day a horseback riding in front of Lake Viedma with lunch at Estancia La Estela and rafting on the La Leona River, immersed in spectacular landscapes.
The tour starts at the Parador La Leona. There will be a break visit to the museum of this typical place of Route N° 40 and you can enjoy a mix of homemade cakes with coffee service. Then we will arrive to our destination, Estancia La Estela.
Estancia La Estela, being located in a privileged way in front of Lake Viedma, allows to admire imposing views of Cerro Fitz Roy, Cerro Torre, Viedma Glacier and Los Andes Mountain Range. Once arrived in this estancia, you will prepare for one of the main activities of the excursion, the horseback riding. In the middle of the morning, you will take a 1,30 hours horseback riding, during which you will visit the Yatén Refuge, located at the tip of Viedma Lake and the shore of La Leona River. Back in La Estela hull, lunch will be served and after lunch, you will start the rafting adventure on La Leona River. To finish the day, Parador La Leona offers the typical drink of the gauchos: the cane, accompanied with fried cakes. Then we will return to El Calafate arriving at approximately 04:00pm.

Take your flight to Ushuaia Airport where the local guide will be waiting for you to take you to your hotel while you take some time to see to the city during the way. So, once you arrive you can enjoy the rest of the day by your own, visiting the downtown or relaxing at the hotel.
This day of the Patagonia Trekking and Adventure itinerary visit Tierra del Fuego National Park in an unconventional way, and combine two activities inside an amazing natural environment. It includes a trekking through the coastal path, ideal for watching wildlife, and a canoeing tour down the Lapataia River up to the Lapataia Bay, the endpoint of the National Route Nº 3. While the journey you will probably see aquatic birds and sometimes, even sea mammals. Once the trekking starts, you walk through archaeological sites, the famous shellfish fossils piles-souvenirs from the old inhabitants of the region, the Yamanas. These were sea nomads who are almost entirely gone today. After 3-4 hours trekking you will reach Lake Roca, where you will stop to enjoy a country style lunch and then, start the canoe/ duckie’s trip down the Lapataia River.
On this day of our Patagonia Trekking and Adventure itinerary, you will take the trekking to the Martial Glacier. You will walk through the former lumberjack’s path to the Cerro del Medio to visit the Margot Lagoon and from there you’ll turn to the summit of the Roy Mount. This will be the highest point on our adventure. Once at the summit you will make a stop to have lunch and head down through the back side of the Godoy Mount. You’ll have the “Negro” Canyon at our sight. Once we reach the pass, we head South along the Martial Glacier Valley. And will arrive to the base of the old ski area where we will enjoy of a panoramic view of the Ushuia City. During the trekking you will be accompanied by a specialized guide and will enjoy wonderful panoramic views.
Combine the visit to the historic Estancia Harberton with the navigation through the Beagle Channel to the see a penguins colony. This Ranch, considered of high historical value, was founded in 1886 by the Anglican missionary Thomas Bridges and his wife Mary Ann Varder. It is the oldest “estancia” of Tierra del Fuego, and keeps its original construction of wood and corrugated sheet, it quay and terraces of native stone. There you can visit the museum “ACATUSHUN” of birds and marine mammals. From the estancia you will cross the Beagle Channel in zoodiac to the Martillo island or Yecapasela. During the navigation we can see typical seabirds such as petrels, skuas, cormorants, seagulls and albatrosses. Once in Martillo Island you will make a short walk to the colony of penguins where you share with these birds in their natural habitat.
